Lady Philosophy is Maggie’s rawest song to date. Exploring themes of grief, loss and confusion, the singer questions a higher power, “Lady Philosophy”, asking with childlike wonder why bad things happen in the world. With delicate, Phoebe Bridgers-esque production, the vocals soar over thick guitar arrangements in 3/4 time. An emotional opening to the EP, it sets the tone of deep thought and introspection throughout 'Ekphrasis'.
