Emery has made noticeable gains in her phonics skills since the pre-assessment. She now demonstrates greater accuracy with consonant blends, digraphs, r-controlled vowels, and variant vowels. Mastery of simple vowel sounds, and CVC patterns remains solid, and her performance shows significant improvement in handling more complex spelling patterns. However, Emery continues to need support with multisyllabic word decoding and low frequency spelling patterns, suggesting that ongoing instruction and practice in advanced phonics and multisyllabic strategies will be importance for her continued growth.
Strengths
Strong letter recognition; mastery of consonant sounds; solid command of vowel sounds; improved decoding of consonant blends, digraphs, and r-controlled vowels; growing proficiency with long vowel and variant vowel patterns.
Needs
Continued development in decoding multisyllabic words; additional practice with low frequency vowel and consonant spellings; reinforcement of advanced spelling patterns to build automaticity and fluency.
