As a medical student I am being trained to help people during times of need, and as the confirmed case numbers started to increase in Georgia and our daily routine began to change, I began to think about the people who could be affected the most by this crisis. The homeless population in Macon came to mind and I wanted to do anything I could to help. All medical students have been ordered to refrain from all patient encounter, so the best I could do was reach out to organizations in town and try to fill any needs they had. During this pandemic we all need to help our neighbors to make this less difficult, and if we all do our part we may come out of this better than before.
