2025 BROADCASTER OF THE YEAR!
Over the last four years, I have had the opportunity to build and lead the team at Arapahoe Sports Network.
We have been fortunate enough to find kids who have gained interest in commentating, running cameras, making graphics, directing, and more. With the help of our athletic director, and a fellow Spanish teacher who had experience in sports broadcasting. We were able to find kids who were interested and expand our crew to be the largest it's ever been.

We've also been fortunate to work with other schools in our broadcasts.
In the spring of 2023 (my Sophomore year) I reached out to Jake Chau, editor-in-chief of Grandview's broadcast program. I pitched the idea of doing a "combined broadcast". The concept was simple, we would pool equipment from each other's broadcast networks, giving us opportunities for more angles and unique add-ons that we traditionally wouldn't have. To prevent bias on each other's networks, we would also include one commentator from each school.
That idea may have been small, but the impacts were huge. We have expanded our combined broadcasts to work with more schools than just Grandview. Over the last few years we have completed combined broadcasts with Regis Jesuit High School, Englewood High School, Cherry Creek High School, Mountain Vista High School, and Legend High School as well. Those connections have been extremely helpful for all of us, giving us the opportunity to reach out to our friends at those schools if we may need an extra commentator or camera operator for a broadcast. It also opened up doors for us to broadcast with the 6A Basketball and Soccer Quarterfinals with the NFHS Network. We all hope to keep that connection alive long after we graduate.
