Below is my proposal and time managment for my FMP.
Included below involves what the project is about why I want to do this project what I will include in this project the research I am doing and how I will reflect on my work once I have finished the project fully.
As well as this there is a timeplan for what i am expecting myself to be completing each week as well as what sofware i may need to be using for the production and planning of the game.
Reflection: For the proposal, I am happy with what I managed to write down for each question. I wrote about what I would like to have included in the game and explained in enough detail why I would do something, how I expect to do it, and with what tools. I made sure to ask peers and some teachers what I could do to improve my proposal, and I think what I ended up with was really good. I went over the recommended word count for each question to ensure I included all the key information I wanted to cover.
For next time, I think I need to leave some areas with a touch of uncertainty. There were quite a few moments where I had to change some things in my proposal and adjust the schedule due to unforeseen circumstances, such as team members sometimes being unable to work on certain days, which hindered production slightly. Additionally, some members only did research until the final week, which didn't help with the game's production much. Moreover, the proposal's format wasn’t followed as I had initially hoped. Some tasks I ended up doing first, and other things I swapped out, such as deciding to add a main menu screen and getting rid of the voice acting we had originally planned.
For next time, I will make sure to plan ahead for potential issues and use a better system to check what work people have done and if they are up to date. I will also try to document my work better and maybe record some sessions of me working on the game using OBS, turning it into a timelapse instead of just using screenshots. This way, I can showcase my work more effectively. Additionally, I will ensure I research the game more thoroughly beforehand to prevent mid-production changes, like creating the main menu first, which we hadn’t initially planned. If I am more precise with my research and layout next time, it will make it easier for people to see what I did to reach certain stages.
