On the production log page, you'll discover my weekly activities during the FMP journey. I've organized it to guide you seamlessly through each week, offering insights into my project progress. This layout simplifies navigation and enhances comprehension by consolidating all details under one accessible topic.
For this week I started filling in my proposal and time management document and began to sort out my website so that it had all of the things i need on it such as a homepage research section, etc.
Below is also attached a powerpoint that goes over everything that i did in week one.
For this week I just complete research for what i wanted the game to look like and also created a Miro board for me and my team to share ideas with each other of what the game should include and I also then sent out my website to peers so that i could get some Primary Research that was up to date to what people want to see in a game instead of finding data from a few years ago as if i used Secondary research for this I will end up making a game that doesnt appeal to people in the current time.
Below is also attached a powerpoint that shows the questions that were sent out. as well as a brief description of why I chose to ask those certain things.
For week 3 I went and looked through the results of the questionnaire that I had sent out and then analysed the answers that people had given out and I did this to make sure that i knew exactly what to look for when I do research based off of the results that I received from the questionnaire, now that me and my team know what to research we will now put all of our focus into research for the next week and find outr as much as we can based off of the info for Week 5 that will follow after.
Below is also attached a powerpoint that shows my analysis of the questionnaires results.
For week 4 I wasn't able to complete any work due to the fact that I was on holiday and had no access to a computer in order to do any work which meant that I had to make sure my team was doing the research while I was away so that we dont get slowed down in our time plan that we have set out.
Below is attached a powerpoint that briefly goes through why I couldn't do any work for this week.
For week 5 I was finally back from my holiday which meant that I had to go and do research that I missed on doing, unfortunately for me and my team, someone else also went on holiday for 2 weeks which meant that me and the team would have to try and do as much as we could for this week and then the following week, along with this, me and the team did not expect that the person who went on holiday would be gone for 2 weeks as we only expected for them to be gone for one week.
Below is attached the powerpoint that shows what I did for this week including gathering things that can help us get the main vision of what the game will look like as well as the background or the insides of the building this can help us make a decision on what textures to get for the game too.
For week 6 the research will be moved away from getting the games main aesthetics as such like the insides of the buildings and rooms and will start to have more of a focus on the colour theory for the game such as what the vision in the game should be like as well as what colours should be used in order to make the game more intimidating like using dark reds for the walls and not a bright coloured wall as the game is meant to be as mysterious as possible so keeping all colours bland will help with that and create an eerie atmosphere.
For week 7 all of the research that me and my team gathered will be analysed as a whole and we will finalise what we want to keep inside of the game and move it to a seperate section on the miro board so that we dont get confused and conflict ideas forgetting what we had chose and end up making the creation proccess a lot harder for no reason
Below is attached a powerpoint showing the work from this week.
For week 8 the member of my team that was on holiday returned so this is where the production of the game actually started as we could all work together as a group and discuss together what should be in the game and what shouldn't, as well as this i also made some concept art for the game such as what the outside will look like and also the interior of a room i also did 2 versions of a poster as i couldnt deicde which one would be better for the game. All of the concept art can be found below
Main Menu for the game is doneĀ
The game gets grey boxed and stamina and flashlight mechanics are added to the game.
Project is finished and all shown on Final Product Page
