Throughout this album Ski Mask The Slump God shows his more aggressive songs, mixing it in with his calmer smoother songs, and finishing it off with songs in between. This album feels like a mixtape comprised of some strategic placing, but it also feels like a album for all moods that lacks a overall theme. Ski does however state in interviews that this album is about exploring his different sounds and creating a more versatile project which it does serve that purpose. One of my favorite tracks from this album is definitely Unbothered (Faucet Failure, Nuketown, and Adult Swim are close seconds). Unbothered has a smooth beat that makes you want to bump to it, it also has a playful flow matched with deliveries that change slightly but still go well with the beat . This album completes Ski Mask's goal of creating a more versatile project, it feels like it lacks a theme but it gives his audience a more versatile listen than his past tracks and opens his listeners to sounds to expect in the future. This album has fun and playful lyrics, that are matched with some meaningful lyrics. For example "And for us to survive, we need to uprise our people, Must sanitize the thought of demise of freedom" from Born to Rebel verse 1, these bars show how he is expressing to keep our freedom the people must uprise. Another example of meaning in a song is the chorus of Far Gone, were he expresses how he feels stuck in his mind and can't change his outlook even though he should. For me these both show he is putting meaning into his lyrics. However in other songs he is more playful and fun with his lyrics which is always good to have. It however lacks in spots lyrically, for example in Cat Piss he has a lazy bar "Yeah, yeah, my bitch got a tan, She yellow like Xan", it sounds good but seems lazy and could be replaced with something of more value. This album has 4 features, Juice WRLD, Austin Lam, Lil Baby, & Lil Yachty. Juice WRLD's feature provides a aggressive and different verse than he usually has that definitely holds you in to see will he go back to his old delivery? Juice WRLD's verse was used nicely and definitely helped the song, not outshining Ski but helping the song overall. Austin Lam has smooth vocals that are delivered better than Ski's. Austin Lam boosts this songs overall sound and helps the song a lot. Lil Baby's verse complements the beat and is my second favorite feature on this album behind Juice WRLD. Lil Baby lyrically is nothing new but it sounds more polished than Ski's, I overall liked this verse and believe it helped the song achieve more success. Lil Yachty is the last feature on the album and my third favorite feature, his monotone delivery usually annoys me but on this song fits so well. This verse goes good but could be replaced by Ski and still be a banger. The beats for this album go hand and hand with the deliveries and boasts production from Murda Beatz and Ronny J. Ski's delivery on each song fits the beats, lyrics, and flow so well. Nobody could beat Ski's delivery on these beats and is needed to complete this albums feel. On Stokeley Ski's flow fits every beat and delivery on the album. The flow is essential to the album and only helps it. My favorite flows are Faucet Failure, Unbothered, and LA LA. For Ski this album is his most versatile piece of work yet. This album was meant to show his different sides, it does that. My least favorite parts of this album is the production on some songs, sounding more like his really old work. I would also like to see a theme to his next album as currently this felt like a mixtape.
