Bolt Torque: M10 bolts 37Ft Lbs M8 bolts 18Ft Lbs

1 Remove alternator

2 Pull the battery positive feed wire back to battery. You will need to reroute it for more slack when you hook it back up.

3 Remove Idler

4 Bend the power steering line to point at the driver's side edge of the radiator. Just bend it to clear its new location.

5 Remove power steering pump. press off the pulley with the correct tool. remove the rear 2 15mm nuts off the back and the bolt from the engine block. If you want to reuse the rear bracket you will need to bend it and maybe drill the hole out some. remove the 3 bolts from the front of the pump and tie the pump out if the way. You do not need the rear bracket and you can use the nuts later.

6 Remove the big aluminum drive bracket and toss it in the eBay pile.

7 Remove the 2 lower bolts on the driver side of the water pump.

Installation: not all holes will be used, use all washers, use blue lock tight. Use the Torque wrench and hand start all bolts.

• Install power steering pump on the bracket through the yellow holes. Now is the time to modify the rear bracket of the power steering pump if you want to. The short bolt 30mm long and short spacer goes on the outboard side. 2 longer 40mm bolts go inboard. the cut down spacer goes on top inner bolt with cut down step towards the pump. The other spacer goes on top. Do not install the pulley yet.
• Install 10mm x 130mm bolt and 3.9 inch spacer in the bottom inboard (RED) hole hand snug only
• Install alternator with 10mm x 130mm bolt and 1.85 inch spacer on the inboard purple hole. hand snug only for now.
• Install 2 8mm x 130mm bolts and 1.45 spacers in to the water pump holes (light blue) hand snug.
• Secure alternator with 10mm x 80mm bolt washer and lock nut. hand snug .
• install the power steering pump rear bracket modifying it to fit. It is not necessary, I left it out and used 1 of the nuts on the second idler.
• Jiggle the whole thing making sure it centers on the bolts with out binding on anything.
• Torque the bolts down. power steering, bracket, water pump and alternator.
• Beat the idler bolt from the pulley and save the dust cover. Discard the stock bolt and spacer. Use a new 10mm x 50mm bolt and the .635 spacer and factory dust cover and install the stock idler in the upper threaded green hole. I used the nut from the back of the power steering pump to lock nut this idler. Torque 37ft lbs
• install the smaller idler in the bottom hole with 10mm x 50mm bolt and thick under cut washer. The washer cut out goes over the water pump bolt for clearance. Torque 37ft lbs
• Before you install the power steering pump pulley make sure the lines clear the steering and other items down there. I had to bend the lines a tad to clear steering and in the previous step I bent the line towards the radiator too much. Take your time and be gentle. DO NOT KINK a line.
• Install power steering pump pulley making sure to seat it all the way back down.
• 6 rib serpentine belt. Use a piece of wire and clamped it to the LSA pulley. routed it around and marked it. Mine measured 104.5 inches. I bought a 106.75 inch belt and it was a bitch to put on. and it is now too long. So measure your run with wire and add 3 inches for a starting point. see diagram below.
• I ended up replacing the 90mm stock idler pulley with a 70mm pulley and running a 105.45 inch belt. I had to add a 4.5mm spacer to get the smaller pulley to line up.

This is where the stock 90mm pulley was and since it was bigger it had a different offset. to make the smaller 70mm pulley line up i added the blue 4.5mm spacer. the nut on the back was from the power steering pump rear bracket.
