Toni Ramirez is an active member of LAPSEN and SkillsUSA.
To maintain a current and relevant curriculum, The Public Safety teacher will attend conferences, seminars, classes and PLC meetings in the school year. This is her previous and planned conferences for recent years.

The Public Safety teacher is participating in Professional Growth from Elevated Achievement Group.
EAG coaching includes the following components
Fosters intrinsic motivation of students and educators.
Engages students and educators in continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
Inspires teamwork.
Affects all students and educators—100 percent.
District CTE provides additional funding for CTE Teachers to attend Professional Growth to stay current with industry trends.
Mrs. Ramirez (along with the other CTE Teachers in the Hacienda La Puente USD) are working closely with Elevated Achievement Group.
Each teacher is given one on one mentoring with a coach. Together they create goals for the year and develop strategies to best support students.
