SOCIAL EVENTS

General Meetings
We have general meetings every Thursday at 5pm, usually at Horn Center 100. By going to the weekly general meetings, you'll be updated with events, play games, eat and bond with other students outside of class, and most of all, have fun! We always have special activities planned out each week so look forward to it! Get informed. Get active. Go to the weekly meetings. Don't forget to go to our after events too!

Fundraisers
Hosting fundraisers are great way to raise money and have a good time with VSA. Our Fundraising Chairs work hard to guarantee at least one fundy every two weeks. They are often ran after general meetings or at any given day. It's a win-win for all involved; the businesses we work with benefit from them, LBVSA is able to raise some money for the club, and general members have fun while hanging out with friends!

Thanksgiving Potluck
VSA Thanks Giving Potluck is an event where LBVSA members enjoy the American holiday, "Thanks Giving." Our aim for this event is to have the members interact with fellow members to get to know each other by mingling, playing games, eating together, and just hanging out. There are also miscellaneous additions to our events such as karaoke, photo booth, video games, and movies. Board members will provide necessary foods specifically for Thanks Giving and members are given the option to bring any food, snacks, and drinks of their choosing. After all this is a Potluck event so bring whatever you would like!

Winter Retreat
Every year, our VSA plans a retreat in Big Bear called Winter Retreat, usually 3 days and 2 nights full of bonding. This is where friends become family. Spending this time away from home and surrounded by VSA members, playing in the snow, snowball fights, making dinner together, snowboarding, complaining about how cold it is, sleepovers, games, and late night talks, retreat is always full of something magical for all of us, and one of our favorite ways to bond and really get to know a great group of people.

External Events
Every school has their own unique event that helps them stand out and brings people from other UVSA Schools to have fun and share a memory together. LBVSA usually introduces these events through the ICC that is in contact with these other schools, and to attend, one must sign up for the will call page. Arrangements for carpools is always available!

End of the Year Banquet
To commemorate the school year, LBVSA hosts an End of the Year Banquet. This is the place where the next year's board is announced and a cute video recap is also screened. General and Board members alike dress formally as we all share a fancy meal at a fancy venue and this is where we share our last moments together to close the year. 

Beach Day
LBVSA opens the new year with a bang at the annual Beach Day!!! With the warm sand at our feet and bright sun by day, playing in the water or chilling out with friends will always be a blast! And at night, a warm and wholesome bonfire with s'mores and good company is sure to make a lasting memory. This event is a potluck, so be sure to bring some food or snacks to share with everyone else!
