As a Lighting Operator at Local Vineyard Church, your role is important in creating a space where people can connect with God. By setting the right mood with lighting, you help everyone in the church focus on worship and the message. Your work makes it easier for others to experience God's presence, which is a big part of following Jesus. So, even though you’re behind the scenes, you’re still helping people grow in their faith.

Key Responsibilities

Spiritual Engagement

• Approach the role with a heart for ministry, understanding that effective lighting can help create an environment that draws people closer to God

• Use lighting in a way that supports worship and shows respect to God.

Teamwork

• Work closely with other team members like the sound engineer and the music director to ensure a cohesive production.

Collaborating with the Worship Team

• Work closely with the worship team, including musicians, singers, and pastors, to understand what they need for sound. 

• Help with sound checks before services to make sure everyone can hear themselves and each other clearly.

Operation

• Control the lighting consoles during services, making sure the lights change smoothly with each transition.
