Our Mission
To help everyday people learn how to become Jesus followers.
As a Lighting Operator at Local Vineyard Church, your role is important in creating a space where people can connect with God. By setting the right mood with lighting, you help everyone in the church focus on worship and the message. Your work makes it easier for others to experience God's presence, which is a big part of following Jesus. So, even though you’re behind the scenes, you’re still helping people grow in their faith.
Our Vision
To help people be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do the stuff Jesus did.
If you’re serving as a Lighting Operator on the production team, here’s how you can live out this vision:
1. Be with Jesus: As a lighting technician, what you do isn’t just about handling lights; it’s about helping people connect with God. Before the service, take time to pray and draw close to Jesus. When you’re connected with Him, it shows in how you set the atmosphere with lighting, helping others focus on worship.
2. Become like Jesus: Jesus was all about serving others, and you can follow His example in how you carry out your role. This means giving your best effort, learning new skills, and cooperating well with your team. When you serve with a positive attitude and pay attention to details, you help create a meaningful experience for everyone at church.
3. Do the stuff Jesus did: Jesus helped people experience God’s love, and what you do with lighting can do the same. By setting the right mood, you’re creating an environment where people can feel God’s presence. Whether it’s during worship or when someone is speaking, your role makes it easier for others to connect with God.
In these ways, your position as a lighting technician becomes a key part of the church’s vision to help people be with Jesus, become like Him, and do the stuff Jesus did.
