Has your Sim gotten a taste for power?
Elected Leaders with level 6 or more Charisma can stage a coup to seize complete power!
To do this, click on your Leader sim and navigate to the Royalty Mod menu, then to the Politics menu. In here, you'll find the Coup interaction.
You'll find out if the coup is successful within 24 hours of starting. But be careful! If your coup fails, the military will seize half of your household income, you will be stripped of your leadership & receive the Exiled trait which prevents your sim from running for Leadership again! An emergency election will be triggered in the event of this happening.
Dictators can invoke 3 new laws!
Curfew: Sims caught leaving their homes between the hours of 10pm-6am will be in violation of the curfew!
Wealth Tax: Households with more than §20k will be handed a harsh weekly tax of §2000. This goes directly to the local treasury for your Dictator to use as they wish.
Assembly Ban: A dictator can't be challenged if sims aren't allowed to gather! This law makes social events illegal.
With harsher laws comes harsher punishments!
The first time sims are caught breaking the law, they will receive a warning.
The second time, they will be fined §500 (goes to the treasury).
The third time, they will automatically be sent to jail for three days!
Leaders & Dictators feeling particularly benevolent can always pardon sims who have been caught breaking the law. Simply click on your Leader/Dictator, navigate to Royalty mod > Politics & choose which sim you'd like to pardon.
This will wipe all infringements from the sim's dossier!
Ever good Dictator knows everything about their subjects!
Your dictator can gather information on any sim and read it in their dossier. The dossier contains their basic information, traits, skills, career, finances, relationships & their surveillance status!
It'll also give you a range out of 100 on how much of a 'threat' they are perceived to be. This risk level will naturally go up throughout gameplay & autonomously driven interactions.
