To get started, choose the Emperor trait in CAS. This is the alternative to Monarch trait, so that trait is not required to play this update.
In the heart of Ancient Greece, the gods and goddesses reign supreme. Their influence is felt in every corner of the world, and by paying homage to them, Sims can receive divine blessings or face their wrath.
How to Worship
To begin your devotion to a deity:
Purchase a 'Home Temple' from Build/Buy mode.
Place it in your Sim's home.
Click on the temple to see various interactions related to different deities.

Divine Blessings: Enhanced charisma, Empire happiness, and inspiration.
Aphrodite:
Overview: Goddess of love, beauty, and desire.

Apollo:
Overview: God of music, arts, knowledge, healing, plague, prophecy, poetry, manly beauty, and archery.
Divine Blessings: Boosts in creativity, faster skill acquisition in arts, and clarity in future matters.

Players can immerse themselves in various careers that capture the essence of Greek life. From the nobility to the military, each career offers unique challenges and rewards.
How to Find the Careers: To start any of the new careers:
Click on your Sim's phone or computer.
Navigate to the 'Work' or 'Jobs' option.
Look for the respective career names: "Hellenic Noble", "Grecian Heir", "Grecian Royal Family", and "Hoplite".
Advancing Through the Careers
Hellenic Noble Career:
Overview: As a Hellenic Noble, you'll navigate the intricacies of court life, politics, and diplomacy.
Advancement: Focus on Charisma and Logic skills. Attend social events and engage in political debates to climb the ranks.
Grecian Heir Career:
Overview: Being the heir to the throne is not just about luxury; it's about preparation. Learn the ropes of leadership and governance.
Advancement: Prioritize the Charisma skill and build relationships with other royals and nobles. Participate in royal duties and events.
Grecian Royal Family Career:
Overview: Not every royal is destined for the throne, but all play a crucial role in the empire's stability and prosperity.
Advancement: Engage in diplomatic missions, host events, and support the emperor in various endeavors.
Hoplite Career:
Overview: Start as a basic soldier and rise through the military ranks, eventually choosing a specialized path.
Advancement: Improve your Fitness skill and participate in military drills and exercises. Build camaraderie with fellow soldiers.
The treasury is the heart of your empire's finances. As the ruler, you'll be responsible for managing and overseeing the accumulation and expenditure of the empire's wealth, represented by Drachmas.
Accessing the Treasury:
Navigate to your Emperor’s ‘Ancient Greece’ pie menu.
Here, you will find an interaction to ‘Check Amount in Treasury’.
Adding to the Treasury:
Taxes: Periodically, taxes will be collected from your subjects, adding to the treasury.
Trade & Diplomacy: The previous Diplomacy update is integrated with the new treasury.
Spoils of War: Successful military campaigns can result in significant additions to the treasury.
Spending from the Treasury:
Civic Projects: Invest in infrastructure, public works, or other projects that benefit the empire.
Military: Fund training, campaigns, or defense measures.
Diplomacy: Sometimes, diplomacy might require financial incentives or gifts.

Monitoring the Treasury:
Regularly check the treasury to ensure a healthy balance. A depleted treasury can lead to reduced empire happiness.
Receive notifications when significant changes (additions or subtractions) occur in the treasury.
Tips:
Always keep a reserve for unexpected expenses.
Monitor empire happiness. A prosperous and happy empire can lead to increased revenue through taxes and other means.
War is a significant aspect of ruling an empire. Successful campaigns can bring glory, wealth, and power, while failures can lead to loss of resources, soldiers, and empire happiness.

Here you will find ‘Open Military Overview’
Choose from small scale skirmishes to full naval battles.
Types of Military Campaigns:
Coastal Raids: Quick skirmishes aimed at coastal regions to plunder wealth.
River Patrols: Secure vital waterways and ensure safe passage for trade.
Mountain Ambushes: Use the terrain to your advantage and ambush enemy troops.
Sieges: Lay siege to fortified cities or strongholds to capture them.
Grand Battles: Engage in large-scale battles against formidable foes.
Military Resources:
Troops: The number of soldiers you have at your disposal. Train more troops by funding more military training.
Funds: All interactions require a certain amount in both soldiers & treasury.
Outcomes & Consequences:
Victory: Successful campaigns can bring spoils of war, increase in treasury, and boost empire happiness.
Defeat: Losses can lead to reduced troop numbers, loss of treasury, and decreased empire happiness.
Tips:
If an option is greyed out, it means you do not have enough in either your troops or treasury. Make sure to check with the ‘Check Soldiers’ interaction and ‘Check Amount in Treasury’ interaction.
Monitor the empire's happiness. Continuous failures can lead to unrest and dissatisfaction among the subjects.
Empire Happiness is a reflection of the overall well-being, contentment, and satisfaction of your subjects. As the leader, it's crucial to monitor and manage this metric.
How to View Empire Happiness:
Empire Happiness starts at 0 as a default and ranges from -100 to 100.
You will receive notifications at every interval of 25.
Factors Influencing Empire Happiness:
Wars & Military Campaigns: Victories can boost happiness, while defeats can decrease it.
Taxes & Treasury: Overburdening your subjects with high taxes can lead to discontent. Conversely, a prosperous treasury can boost morale.
Religious Practices: Pray to Zeus and he may bestow a boost in happiness.
Civic Projects: Investing in infrastructure, public spaces, and other civic projects can enhance the quality of life and increase happiness.
Managing Empire Happiness:
Engage in Diplomacy: Forge alliances, engage in trade, and maintain good relations with neighboring regions.
Invest in the Empire: Allocate resources to civic projects, education, and public welfare.
Monitor Taxes: Ensure a balance between the empire's needs and the well-being of the subjects.

Initiating a Civic Project:
Accessing the Interaction: Click on your Emperor Sim > Select "Civic Projects" from the Ancient Greece pie menu.
Choosing a Project: A list of available projects will be presented. Each project will cost a different amount.
Funding: Ensure you have sufficient funds in the treasury to commission a project. The cost will be deducted upon initiation.

How to Choose the Hellenic Aspiration:
When creating a new Sim or upon aging up, you can select aspirations.
Navigate to the ‘Royalty’ category.
Choose the 'Hellenic Legacy’ Aspiration.
Milestones & Objectives: The Hellenic Aspiration is divided into several milestones, each with specific objectives:
Athenian Beginnings:
Finish a skill book.
Attend 3 public lectures.
Cultural Connoisseur:
Attend 3 Symposiums rabbitholes.
Paint 5 paintings.
Attend 5 Greek Performance rabbitholes.
Spiritual Seeker:
Pray 5 times to a Greek God of your choosing.
Visit the Oracle rabbithole 5 times.
Legacy of Greece:
Go to Olympic Training rabbithole 3 times.
Reach the top of the Hellenic Noble career.
Rewards:
Upon completing the Aspiration, your Sim will be granted the "Legacy of the Ancients" reward trait.
