Filled bucket
Today's lesson is all about buckets. Maybe you have seen one at your grandpa's or grandma's house. You know, the container that looks like you can wear it as a hat.
Buckets are for holding things, usually a liquid like water. They can be filled, and they can be emptied.
Emptied bucket
Wait... a bucket for a hat?
For today's lesson, we will be reading in a SAGE and SCRIBE format. Let's take a look at what that looks like:
That's right! You will be taking turns reading from books and answering comprehension questions. Both the SAGE and the SCRIBE are equally IMPORTANT roles. The sage is the brain that thinks and talks. The scribe is the hand that writes.
For today's readings, we have:
Have You Filled a Bucket Today? A Guide to Daily Happiness (versión en español)
Will You Fill My Bucket? Daily Acts of Love Around the World
If you need copies of the text, email Mr. Liu.
As you read with your partner, use the timer on slide 8 to guide you. Assign yourself your role of sage or scribe and swap roles every 10 minutes.
