Menu

Our menus are posted on our Himama app under the calendar tab. Here parents can view the 6 week rotating menus that our Chef follows.

We focus on good, natural foods. Dee has over 40 years experience running a kitchen and ensures the children are not only well fed and full but enjoy their food, have a positive experience and gain a positive relationship with food, setting them up for life.

We support all food choices and requests. As a standard we use Lactose free cheese in all our dishes and a variety of milk alternative milks to drink (lactose free, almond or oat milk).

We supply all food including vegan choices. Vegan meals are made to be and appear as close to the meal other children are eating throughout the day. Our vegan products include vegan margarine, almond or soy fortified drink and commonly found meatless protein options.

We post examples of current snacks and meals on Facebook and Instagram. Below are a few examples.

Every couple weeks we make the choice to introduce a new food to the children. We have explored Bok choy, pomegranate, Choko, Pomello and  Gooseberry are some examples.

Turkey Dinner with fixings, served before the holiday's annually. Mashed potatoes, carrots, peas, stuffing, cranberry sauce, all homemade in our kitchen. Holiday based afternoon snack to top it off.

Every child has the opportunity to be full, some of our children enjoy 3 platefuls of delicious meals. Food is never used as a reward or punishment. We promote a positive relationship with food and encourage them to try new things.

A simple whole wheat and egg sandwich, full of spinach served with a side of veggies - red, green, orange or yellow in concordance with Ministerial Requirements for child care centres found here
