A lirse must complete Siethe’s First Teachings in order to be eligible to breed. Siethe’s First Teachings are available in several different areas of study; Hunting, Exploring, Researching, and Worshipping.
Results from their studies- such as prey items, forage, and knowledge- are donated to the colony as a show of what they can contribute and to share in a celebration upon their graduation.

General
You must have a nest in your bank before your Lirse can be judged.
Must select any two prompts from the list below.
Two lirse may be judged per set. Others may be present, but cannot compete in Siethe’s First Teachings nor get SP from Siethe’s First Teaching bonus.
Lirse must be uploaded to be judged.
Submissions must be uploaded to DeviantArt.
Collaborations and commissions are permitted.
Other ARPG species forms must be clearly separated in image comments.
Bonuses must be listed in order for mods to use them.
Rites and quests may not have a second use as an activity quest, i.e. a Student’s breeding rites may not be used as a hunting roll as well.
You may mix and match different studies but you MUST list a primary area of study in your submission form. This area of study must be at least one of the prompts depicted in an entry.
Art
Pieces are judged against your gallery and no one else’s; an entry that appears rushed or significantly lower in quality may be denied.
Lirse must be depicted as their own species; you may not draw them as shape-shifters, ferrets, weasels, rats, etc. They must resemble their import to the best of your abilities species wise and design wise, including feathers or other distinguishing traits.
Semi-complex backgrounds are required. This means ground, a sky, and at least three additional elements such as grass tufts, bushes, trees, rocks, clouds, or structures.
75% of the lirse must be visible in order for them to be judged. In hunting studies, at least a quarter of the prey must be visible; you can take such artistic freedoms as the prey bounding out of frame or hiding to avoid the full body being visible.
Silhouettes and stick figures will not be rolled.
Black and white as well as limited palette pieces are allowed so long as the markings of any lirse are depicted with different tones so they can be identified.
Images must be at least 300x300 pixels.
Literature
Pieces must be at least 1,000 words and focus on the studies.
Chapters are allowed but they must have a beginning and ending; you cannot simply write one long piece and cut it into free-floating parts.
Split pieces/roleplays should be clearly labeled.
Lirse names should be mentioned roughly once every 150 words; about 7 times in a 1,000 word piece, 8 in 1,200 words, and so on.
Prey, when applicable, should be mentioned around once every 300 words; 3 times in a 1,000 word piece.
You may not pad your word count with overly complicated descriptions of markings.
Judging

1-40 RNG score
Score PER PIECE:
1-30 unbiased effort score when compared to the rest of your gallery.
Optional: +10 for inclusion of an player-owned Scholar lirse or humanoid(including anthromorphic) helper.

Optional: +10 for including a starter.
Optional: +10 for a 500 word short story, of for at least 500 extra words in a literature entry.
A score below 20 will result in a Novice Learner Ribbon. A score above 45 passes will award a Flying Colors Ribbon. A score from 21-44 will award a Fair Learner Ribbon. If your lirse obtains Flying Colors, they will earn 10 bonus SP. Novice Learner awards no SP, and Fair Learner awards 5.
Submitting
To have your First Teachings judged, submit both pieces to your gallery, scraps, or sta.sh. Once each piece is posted, fill out the form below and submit it to the Judgement journal. A moderator will comment with your results.
Area Of Study
While conferring no bonuses now, your lirse’s Area of Study will be tied to mechanics of the game to be released. When these are released, all lirse with First Teachings completed before the release date may change their Area of Study ONCE for free, without resubmitting First Teachings.
