My name is Ling Yu, and I am pursuing my Bachelor’s in Education with a concentration in Special Education (ABS), along with my Master of Arts in Teaching at Hamline University. This portfolio showcases the knowledge, skills, and professional growth I have developed from Spring 2024 to Fall 2026.

As a first-generation immigrant, multilingual learner, and paraeducator in the Minnetonka School District, I bring a unique lens to education. My work supporting students in diverse classrooms has strengthened my passion for inclusive practices, culturally responsive teaching, and evidence-based interventions. I am especially interested in helping multilingual learners and students with learning differences gain confidence and access to meaningful learning.

Beyond my academic journey, I’m a committed parent, an active learner, and someone who believes deeply in the power of education to change lives. My goal as a future ABS special education teacher is to create learning environments where every student feels valued, capable, and supported to reach their full potential.
