A Taste of Home is a ritualistic storytelling experience where food and flavours become pathways into memory, culture and shared belonging.
The festival of light, Diwali, was brought to Stadsklooster Utrecht (NL) in 2025 through a ritual of storytelling, flavour and collective making. Guests were invited to taste a multitude of familiar and unexpected flavours while listening to the unfolding story of the Ramayana. The evening culminated in lighting the dark corners of Stadsklooster as a gesture of shared hope and creating a communal Rangoli, a traditional floor artwork made with coloured powders. What emerged was more than a programme: it became a gentle, glowing sense of home, love and belonging.
