I am Ligaya Lychelle Villalon, a 4th year BSEd English student from the University of Northern Philippines. I am one of the participants of the SEA-Teacher Program (Batch 9). I was deployed at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia for 28 days and I taught five different classes in their SMA Labschool. I decided to join this program because I want to expand my skills as a future educator and also to explore other cultures. Thankfully, it was possible. My SEA-Teacher journey was the best decision I made in my academic life because it helped me to develop my confidence, learn new skills, travel and explore new places, and meet new friends. I also learned how to adapt and survive in a new environment. Overall, my experience in this program helped me in my growth as a student teacher. I am grateful for everyone who made this possible and for the people in our receiving university who helped us in our practicum.
