Celebrating 19 years of marriage (and 21 together) with dinner on our deck
Friends and Family,
Well, here we are again. Four weeks since I last wrote. I hope this past month you have stayed healthy and safe and that you have done something that is memorable, marking the end of summer 2020. I write on the eve of a new school year, when we are not sure what that will bring. Really though, none of us know what tomorrow will bring, or the next four weeks or year.
My health continues what I will call "status quo". My monthly visit to the doctor was uneventful. My blood work is mostly steady and I don't appear to have any new side effects. I say "appear to have" because it always feels like there is something different or odd going on and I have to balance that with a new cancer medication related side effect with things we all deal with - a strained muscle or catching a bug of some sort - that and middle age. I will have scans again next month to see if the medication is still working.
We spent the past four weeks enjoying new paddle boards, taking a lot of walks, exploring new bike paths, sprucing up our kitchen cabinets, and preparing our house for extended homework and school. Glen and I were fortunate to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary earlier this month with a very low-key dinner at home. He did say "It is only the 19th...." Perhaps next year we will have a milestone celebration. You will all be invited!
With love,
Donna & Glen
