As many of you have probably experienced, my senior year was a little bit different than most. The year most notorious for being a "Year of Lasts" was transformed into a "Year of Firsts". I had my first online class and my first online Advanced Placement Test. I had my first birthday without my friends and extended family. I was part of the first senior class to not receive a prom or even a graduation. However, it was not all bad. I also had my first chance to pose as a real teacher without supervision for my siblings and friends when they were stuck on a concept. I rode my bike through my first BMX trails (designed by my brothers ;P ). I even got to bake my first batch of croquembouches. While I still miss my former class at Central Grade School immensely, I am using the extra time to prepare for college and study the best methods of teaching students. I want to be fully prepared to help my students go as far as their dreams can take them.
