This standard is almost a continuation of TS3 where you can use your developing subject knowledge to plan and teach well structured lessons.I understood early on the importance of having fast paced, engaging lessons which was an early target in my teaching. It is important to manage time during the day to give the children the best opportunity for learning and development, therefore I ensured I planned thoroughly for this to happen. I created weekly plans to show where I wanted the children to be by the end of the week, which influenced individual sessions and the timings I wanted to complete areas of each lesson. As my experience continued, my plans became more clear and concise as I was more confident to teach still according to the plan but not having to check it constantly. I strive to make my lessons as interactive and engaging for the children, experimenting with different teaching methods that help to maintain the enjoyment of learning. As a teacher I am highly critical of my own practice, therefore I evaluate myself honestly the impact of my teaching and the learning that took place to inform my future planning. As my career progresses this aspect of my practice won't change as I believe there is always space for improvement in practice. This will influence my future practice to continue to think about how I can make my lessons more imaginative and think about creative strategies that match the group of pupils with their individual needs and interests as each class is different from the last, meaning flexibility will be crucial.
