As I am working towards my primary QTS through the PGCE programme at Edge Hill University my experience at officially teaching a full class is limited, however my overall experience of schools and their different ways of working dates to 6 years since leaving school. I have been aspiring to teach for as long as I can remember, my passion, drive and complete commitment to the profession is something I show in the classroom. I have a strong understanding of mental health due to my own experiences. especially now with the covid-19 pandemic and how children will have been out of school for several months and why it may be vital for children to have the opportunity to talk. I am determined to have a successful career in the classroom and beyond and I hope any school that opts to give me an opportunity will have employed a passionate and inspirational practitioner who wants to improve children's learning as well as developing other traits of a good person.

Brief Summary of Experience : Worked in a year 2 class of 24 children. My class teacher was the schools deputy headteacher. My experience was well-rounded where I taught a variety of different subjects to build my confidence in the classroom. I have attended and managed a stall at the Christmas fayre, liaised with wider agencies such as sports partnership to help with their lessons. During the Christmas period I helped in the church service for the infant’s nativity, helping children remember their roles and responsibilities. I also attended celebration assemblies, having an input within the ‘worker of the week’.

Eccleston Mere Primary School March 2020
Brief Summary of Experience :
As this was a short few days there is not much I can say. I supported the class teacher and children around the class, sometimes in a one to one capacity. I held discussions about future learning topics and started to plan for what I was going to teach. The schools then closed.
