Before the Symposium
Make sure you have registered for the symposium. You can do so here.
Presentation videos are due Monday, August 21, 2023. Submit your presentation video using this form to share the YouTube link. Remember that your presentation must be a 15-20-minute video.
All video recordings will be posted to our Symposium schedule website by August 28, 2023.

Prepare 5-6 questions to ask your audience to facilitate an engaging discussion of your presentation content. (Remember that everyone is expected to have viewed your video prior to your session). Example questions include:
What connections do you see between my focus on XYZ and your own LESLLA work?
What implications do you see for future projects, policies, or research?
What do you think our LESLLA learners would say about these issues?
On the Day
Arrive a few minutes early before your session start time.
Because of technological limitations, we will not be recording Zoom sessions.
Suggested presentation format:
Start with a brief (5 minutes at most) summary of your video content. Most participants will have watched your short video prior to the roundtable, however some may not have. A short summary will set these participants up to be able to engage in conversation.
Invite questions from your audience to clarify presentation content and purpose.
Facilitate a 30-35-minute group discussion by posing the questions you brainstormed prior to the symposium. Do not use your presentation time to show your recording. You can encourage participants to watch the video on the Symposium schedule webpage on their own time.
Optional: Share relevant links and resources in the Zoom chat.
