Three approaches, one personalised programme

Our French programmes may combine three complementary approaches.

French as a Foreign Language — FLE

FLE, Français Langue Étrangère, helps non-French-speaking learners develop their overall command of French.

It may include speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and preparation for a language level or certification.

This approach is particularly suitable when you want to communicate more confidently and independently in everyday life.

French for Specific Purposes — FOS

FOS, Français sur Objectif Spécifique, is designed around a clearly identified professional, academic or training objective.

Rather than following a general professional French course, you prepare for the situations you genuinely need to manage: communicating with colleagues, welcoming clients, following a training course, understanding instructions, writing emails, participating in meetings or using the vocabulary of your profession.

Cultural and intercultural support

Language skills are not always enough to feel comfortable in a new environment.

We can also help you understand communication habits, levels of formality, professional or academic expectations and the cultural differences that may influence your interactions in France.

Your programme may focus on one of these approaches or combine all three, depending on your level, your objectives and your situation.

Where applicable, we also explain which funding or payment options may be available.

FAQ

Which French programme is right for me?

You do not need to choose alone.

During an initial conversation, we discuss your current level, your objectives and the situations in which you need to use French. We then recommend the most appropriate combination of general French, professional or academic communication and cultural guidance.

Do I need to speak French already?

No.

We support complete beginners as well as learners who already understand French but want to speak with greater confidence, improve their accuracy or use French in more demanding situations.

Are your programmes only for English speakers?

No.

Our French programmes are open to learners of different nationalities and language backgrounds. The language used for explanations will depend on the learner’s needs and the trainer selected for the programme.

Can my programme combine general and professional French?

Yes.

For example, you may need to consolidate grammar and vocabulary while preparing for meetings, telephone calls or professional emails.

Your programme can combine these needs within one coherent learning path.

Are sessions available online?

Yes. Individual sessions can take place online wherever you live.

Depending on the programme and your location, sessions may also be offered at home, on company premises or in person in South-West France.

Do you offer French lessons at home?

Individual lessons at home may be available in the geographical areas covered by our personal services activity.

Please contact us so that we can confirm trainer availability, location and the conditions applicable to the service.

Can I receive a 50% tax credit?

French lessons delivered at your home through an eligible personal services arrangement may qualify for a French tax credit equal to 50% of the expenses you personally pay, within the applicable limits and subject to the rules in force.

Online lessons, lessons delivered on company premises and lessons taking place in another location are not automatically eligible.

We will confirm the applicable framework before you enrol.

Can I pay with pre-funded CESU vouchers?

Eligible home-based lessons may be payable in full or in part using pre-funded CESU vouchers, subject to the vouchers accepted and the administrative arrangements in place.

Please ask us for confirmation before choosing this payment method.

Can I use my CPF?

Some professionally focused programmes leading to an eligible certification may be financed through the CPF.

Not every French course is CPF-eligible. Eligibility depends on your professional objective, the certification attached to the programme and the funding rules in force at the time of enrolment.

We will first discuss your project and confirm whether an eligible programme is suitable.
