Marriage Blog +

In the summer of 2018 , The Catholic Courier, our local Catholic Newspaper asks us to consider writing a 300 word monthly marriage blog. Our first reaction was "Who? Us? We are the most imperfect married couple you are going to find!" We have our ups and downs like every married couple but somehow by the grace of God and a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend 32 years ago we managed to stay happily married for 34 years. They said they wanted real stories to inspire hope. So after much dialogue & prayer we said yes. We don't teach. We just tell our stories & hope it helps married couples remember and see the beauty in their own marriages.

On August 1, 2020 Ed died suddenly of a genetic heart defect while riding his bike with our 29 year old son. My husband was the love of my life. He was a remarkable man. Here is my beloved husband's obituary:

The Catholic Courier posted our last blog but then asked me to keep writing to let people know my journey after Ed.

We lived out our marriage vows until death did us part. My job was to help get him to heaven and I think I did that.

I ask for prayers to help me as I figure out my life without Ed. I miss him so very much.
