Students will track their participation as English Ambassadors, create a mythological character through narrative writing, and rotate through learning centers exploring key elements of civilizations such as power, social structure, culture, economy, language, and technology. They will also organize research using a graphic organizer and draft a timeline and map to situate civilizations in time and place.
Students will collaborate in groups to design and build a game prototype, making key decisions about mechanics and structure. They will draft a rulebook, develop and deliver an elevator pitch to present their idea, complete a reading comprehension assessment on Indian myths focusing on plot development and theme, and compile a prototype portfolio documenting their design process.
