From Debate to Essay: Strategies for Supporting Novice Level Students from their Novice Courses Through their Advanced Level Courses

• Completed 24 yrs. in the same district I graduated from (2001) last year (Houston, Tx)

• Out of 18 yrs. in the classroom, 14 yrs. have been dedicated to AP Spanish Language

• I am passionate about supporting students and teachers alike in their AP Spanish Language journey.

• I've taught all levels of Spanish. However, this year, I am teaching Spanish 3 & 1 in a new school.

• My father is from Nicaragua and my mother is from Honduras.

• I’ve been married for 21 yrs. and have 4 amazing children and a dog named Blue.
