Student Scholarship 

This award of $200 is given annually to 3 graduating seniors who have successfully multiple years of foreign language study and have a love for learning languages. The nominating teacher must be a current LECNY member.

In addition to the student application, the nominating teacher must submit the following on behalf of the applicant: 

• • student transcript (transcript request form can be found here)

  • teacher recommendations (2)

  • student essay

All materials should be emailed to lecnyawards@gmail.com by April 1, 2025.

The scholarship review committee will take the following into consideration when selecting scholarship winners:

• • number of languages studied

  • world languages activities (clubs and events)

  • world languages leadership and awards

  • community service

  • extracurricular activities

  • student's plans for using the language(s) in the future
