Meg Fandel-Vernon
Meg Fandel Vernon loves teaching Spanish in Des Moines, Iowa, using engaging strategies like Comprehensible Input and TPRS. She’s dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom where everyone feels welcome. Meg is passionate about global learning and enthusiastically shares her ideas at conferences and workshops. In 2017, she was named Iowa’s World Language Teacher of the Year, and she’s an active member of Team Comprehensible Iowa. Her goal is to support fellow teachers and help build classrooms filled with joy and effectiveness. Together with Craig Klein, she co-founded Experiencia Colombia—a fun and immersive 5-day teacher wellbeing workshop held in Colombia, South America.
