Survey Prompts

Goal: Deeper probing using open-ended survey questions

Surveys are everywhere. Sometimes open-ended prompts are included to understand specifics or get a better understanding about an issue.

If you want to get the most out of the responses, you can code the data. Coding in Excel is often simple enough - see Coding. The key is having a good coding dictionary that helps retrace your steps, follow in the footsteps of others, or align your work with others. Coded data can be linked to other survey responses.
