Highest Recognition: 3.9 & 18
High Recognition: 3.70 & 16
Notable Recognition: 3.5 & 14
Recognition: 3.5 & fewer than 14
Valedictorian & Salutatorian - If there is a GPA tie, the valedictorian will be identified as the student having the highest GPA coupled with the largest number of credits at the honors, dual enrollment, and AP levels. Only classes on a student's schedule during their high school career (not to exceed 9 credits annually) will count in the number of honors, dual enrollment, and AP credits.
State Honors: Met ACT college readiness benchmarks: Math 22, Science 23, English 18, Reading 22
District Distinction: 3.0 GPA & Industry Credential promoted by the Department of Education
Tennessee Tri-Star Scholar: 19 ACT & earns capstone Industry Credential promoted by the Department of Education
State Distinctions: B average & one of the following: Industry Credential promoted by Department of Education, participated in Governor's School, participated in one of the state's All State musical organizations, earned statewide recognition or award at a skill or knowledge based state tournament, convention or competition hosted by a statewide student organization, selected as a National Merit Finalist or Semi Finalist, 31 ACT, 3+ on (2) AP exams,12+ DE credit, or successfully complete an IB program.
Tennessee Seal of Biliteracy: Complete all ELA requirements with an overall 3.0 in those classes AND score on track or mastered on each ELA EOC assessment OR score 3+ on AP Language or AP Literature exam OR score 22 ACT Reading OR score at least 4.5 on WIDA, AND Score 3+ on an AP world language exam or demonstrate proficiency in a world language through one of the approved assessments or interviews outlined in the TN State Board of Education High School Policy 2.103 p. 10.
Community Service Distinction: 10 hours community service each semester/80 hours total. Be sure to complete the Community Service form below by April 1st (senior year).
