Dacien cuts an odd figure, seemingly plucked out of an old painting from the Old Empire. A quirk of fate threw him into a Shadowfell rift, saving him from the Ember Core explosion that leveled Grand Capitol, one of the many disasters that reshaped the world.
Upon being transported back, he found that decades had passed, and his prestigious life as a Templar was a mere anachronism in a lawless hellscape. Having to quickly throw in with the ragtag survivors aboard Lanternwurm, Dacien now plies his skills as an imposing negotiator on dangerous missions into disputed clan territory.
Privately though, he is still haunted by fragmented memories of his last moments in his once great city. Screams of the dying, mixed with a lingering sting of hatred and betrayal, now fuels an obsession to uncover the secrets of the otherworldy forces that ruined him.
The path before him lies murky and conflicted. Can he continue stare into the bowels of the Shadowfell while holding true to the Calibre? Why can he not shake the foreboding of finding that he had a part to play in the downfall of his House and legacy?
Personality Traits: One’s worth is one’s station: to fail it, is to become dust; to insult mine, is to become dust.
Ideals: Bow to authority of your betters, for your own sake, and the sake of this godforsaken world.
Bonds: I will uncover of the mysteries behind the planar incursion, wipe the stain of shame for my past failure, and rebuild the glory of my House.
Flaws: Those that would be content with the junkyard life aboard Lanternwurm, are trash themselves.
