Reflection

After completing my Venture pitch, I started thinking about my strengths, weaknesses, and entrepreneurship inclinations.

Strengths: I do believe that my venture pitch is feasible and profitable. There are several language learning games online that students access and play, but the reason why I believe mine stands out is because there isn't a game-based learning game where players can personalize their gaming/learning experience in the way I presented in my venture pitch. The research I provided further proved my point regarding how in game personalized avatars can increase player motivation to play and most importantly learn. By following the business model I presented, I also believe that this idea can be profitable.

Weaknesses: This was my first ever attempt at a business venture pitch. I really had to put myself out of my comfort zone and try to plan how I would approach this idea/opportunity. I had to design my own game logo for the Language Domination game, create a video for my elevator pitch, and do a lot of research to confirm that my idea had potential on the market. The most challenging part of my venture pitch had to be the investment/funding section. I feel that maybe there are some factors I forgot to include that needed funding even after the research I did for the estimated costs. I really hope/look forward to getting some constructive feedback from my classmates in order to see where I can improve upon in this section and overall in my venture pitch.

Entrepreneurship: Throughout this experience, I realized that if I explore and research a particular venture that interests me, I can most probably find a way to create a solution to a problem I recognized while doing my research. I do feel that I would work better with a team that shares the same vision as me. When completing this assignment I found it challenging because I always feared that maybe there is something I missed. Again, I do look forward to the constructive feedback I will receive from my classmates.
