Description

Wind power is recognized to be a low environmental impact energy generation technology because it is a relatively non-polluting and renewable energy source, i.e., it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect and does not generate toxic by-products, besides being continually replenished. The ASRG-ITA has been working in the development of numerical tools for blade design optimization through steady & unstead aerodynamic and aeroelastic analyses. The group has also developed similarities laws for wind tunnel testing based on CFD simulations.
