Performance was my first introduction to theatre, and it will always hold a special place in my heart, even if I find my place is mostly backstage. A background in performance allows me to understand and consider actors' needs when drafting designs.
Nana, Robot
Center for the Arts, The Meadows School, 2024
Hosted by the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival
The first time the term "robot" was coined; this show is an increasingly relevant piece of political commentary. I'm so grateful that I was able to be introduced to this phenomenal script, and then work with such a fun and talented cast and crew.
This production was reviewed by the British Theatre Guide and recommended by FringeReview.
Ms. Norbury, Ensemble
Center for the Arts, The Meadows School, 2024
Two ensemble and two lead nominations for the Nevada High School Musical Theater Awards
Tina Fey's character in this show and I share a lot of common beliefs about clique mentality, so she was very fun to play. This show is so energetic, and it was such a fun way to step into the world of musicals.
Ensemble, Co-Fight Safety Captain
Center for the Arts, The Meadows School, 2023
Shakespeare does not write dull works. This show was full of insanity, war and fight scenes, backstabbing, and even some eye gouging. Ensuring people's safety during combat scenes, which involved real but unsharpened swords, was a fun challenge.
