Lighting is a relatively new field for me, but one that I love. I enjoy everything from the math and logic involved in photometrics to the color theory and artistry in the design process. My unofficial credits also include electrician work on When She Became the Moon, Little Women, and other performances in my role as an Instructional Student Assistant for the SDSU School of Music and Dance.

This show was the first I signed up to do lighting for, and Vanessa has been a phenomenal mentor. Outside of that, styling athleticwear requires a level of subtlety and working around actor's preferences, which was a wonderful challenge. The message of the show is very important to me, and I'm grateful to have worked on it.

Assistant Head Electrician

This show was a trial by fire style of learning caused by a series of technical difficulties, mostly involving malfunctioning printers. Still, I greatly enjoyed working with my co-Assistant and the Head Electrician and learning so much about rigging, hanging, and more on the go.

Seeing this play when I was younger had such a strong lasting impact on me, and is a huge part of why I decided to pursue a career in this field. I was overjoyed to hear that I was able to work on it, and even more enthusiastic to find out that this play was being directed and choreographed with a focus on silhouettes, dance, and movement. I am so grateful to everyone who brought this beautiful play, one of my favorites, to life.
