Naoto Kuwamura received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Osaka City University in 2006, 2008 and 2011, respectively. He then moved to the Max-Planck Institute of Bioinorganic Chemistry (currently, Max-Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion) as a postdoctoral research fellow of Prof. A. Holzwarth group. In 2012, he moved to Osaka University as an assistant professor of Prof. T. Konno group. Then, he moved to Kogakuin University as an associate professor in 2022, started with his independent research group. His research interest is directed toward the creation of heterometallic coordination compounds based on sulfur-containing ligands that show unique redox and emissive properties in both solution and solid states.
