WAR DUMPLINGS

2014
video, color, silent
duration: 1'47''

Video was inspired by a passage from stage play by Tadeusz Różewicz 'Old woman breeds':

Buy me flour. I will eat dough, I will fatten. They make war and I make dough. The war i will coat with dough. And don't tell me about the worms, the worms are hatching in everything ... the worm is hatching in a lush flower as well ... as my fiancé used to say and who fell ... Bring me a cake and a bowl of whipped cream. Worms. War. You can frighten such frail people like yourself. They are afraid of everything now. Fools. Sugar, sugar. Everyone should give birth. Greta Garbo, and Sartre, and Bertrand Russel, and Cardinal Ottawiani, and Salvadore Dali, and Picasso, and General De Gaulle, and Mao, and Rusk ... Everyone ... Everyone ... regardless of age, rank, gender or worldview.

The video was part of installation /set design I made for theatre play I was stage directing.
