Privacy Policy and Terms of Use — Konkon

1. Privacy and user data
At Konkon we respect your privacy. The app does not require an account and we do not store your personal data on our servers. All your itineraries, dates, budgets and preferences are stored only in your device's local memory. If you uninstall the app or lose your device, that data cannot be recovered unless you use the manual backup feature (seed).
2. Data deletion
Because all your data is local, you have full control. You can delete it at any time from Settings → "Delete all my data", or by uninstalling the app. We keep no copy of your information on any server. For any data-related question, contact us at the email below.
3. Third-party services
To operate and stay free, Konkon uses the following external services, which may receive certain information:
- Google AdMob (ads in the free version): may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address and usage data to serve and measure ads. PRO users see no ads. In the European Economic Area and the UK we will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads; you can change your choice in Settings → "Privacy / ad options".
- RevenueCat (PRO purchase management): processes an anonymous identifier and your purchase status to validate PRO access. It does not receive your card data.
- Google Play / App Store (payment processing): handle payments securely. Konkon has no access to your card data.
- Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) (place search): when you search for a place, your search text and device language are sent to its servers, which log your IP address. Your GPS location is not sent.
- OpenStreetMap (maps): when viewing the map, tiles are loaded from its servers, which log your IP and the map area you view.
- Open-Meteo (Mount Fuji weather): queries a single fixed location only. Sends none of your data.
- open.er-api.com (currency converter): only requests the yen exchange rate. Sends none of your data.
4. Location
Konkon may use your device GPS solely to show your "you are here" position on the map. This location is used only on your device and is never sent to our servers or to third parties.
5. Links to external services
Some buttons open Google Maps or Google image searches in your browser or app. From that point, Google's privacy policy applies, not ours.
6. PRO purchases
Konkon offers in-app purchases to unlock PRO features. Payments are processed by the official stores (Google or Apple). Refund requests must be handled through the respective platform.
7. Limitation of liability
Konkon is a planning tool for trips to Japan, not a travel agency. We are not responsible for transport cancellations, weather conditions, exchange-rate errors or any incident during your trip. Always verify official information.
8. Children's privacy
Konkon is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us.
