Project Description
In this section of this ePortfolio we will delve deeper into how students began collaborating within their small groups on analyzing distinctions while also highlighting differences between communities across the world.
While collaborating with my partner Sarah, I have gained a deeper understanding on how Japan & Nicaragua differ within their developmental stages. Knowing that Japan has evolved over the years, I initially assumed that Nicaragua would follow suit. In reality, this information presented became evident that my initial beliefs were inaccurate after investigating both countries. For example, one fun fact that was learned was that Japan & Nicaragua had established a diplomatic alliance. This alliance began in February of 1935 and then re-established in April of 1952. This alliance includes developmental assistance, trade, and disaster cooperation which I found particularly fascinating even more once I realized how this cooperation from both parties shaped each country’s stability. Honestly, after learning more about Japan & Nicaragua, this began strengthening my critical thinking skills while also addressing my organizational skills as well. Overall, this researching process has helped both my partner and I communicate effectively, divide the workload, and also combined of our perspectives in hopes of creating a well‑rounded presentation for our CSIT 101 class. I truly believe that we did a wonderful job on our PowerPoint and I pray that this final presentation reflects our values within teamwork and the collaboration that supports our progress.
