Within the Kira Imani’s ePortfolio, I have collected different samples of Animation (.GIF), Video (YouTube), Audio (.Mp3), and Image (.JPG) from either Creative Commons and/or given with accreditation to those creators.
To my right is a sample of an audio file called:
I decided to use this audio sample because I love music that gives an R&B feel. Music in general functions as the core of my identity.
My first step was to download this audio file which this is a MPS audio. I tried uploading onto my ePortfolio but I failed, so I took an alternative route by coping and pasting the title, which then led to a link.
This audio file has been shared under the CC BY 4.0 license. This states that the general public is free to:
Copy
Modify
Distribute
Perform the sound
Even commercial purposes all without the need of asking permission to the author.

This photo was taken at home in my living room. I used features such as a filter that is located on my iPhone 16 Pro Max camera. I decided to use this particular image to showcase some of the many tattoos that I believe to be super meaningful to me and how I view my life. The top left picture located on the lower part of my left arm says. “L’espoir voit ce qui est invisible et faut ce qui est un possible” this means “Hope sees what is invisible and needs what is possible.” Since becoming a mom this quote resonates within my life. It reflects the life that I am determined to create for not only myself but for my son. The second photo which is located below is a photo of a tattoo that is place on my shin leading towards my foot. This particular tattoo showcases a Queen surrounded by African symbols. Each piece illustrates the qualities and cultural attributes that speak to the power and the identity of the woman which is below leading towards my foot.
I have edited this image and then exported as a .JPG file. I am sharing this image sample under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
The animated gif that I decided to use which is seen above, was found on DevianArt.
My definition of an animated gif is a type of moving picture that displays several images that plays in a loop with no sound attached to it. This animated gif has a file extension that includes the letters ( .GIF ) at the end of the file name when being downloaded. This particular animated image was saved from DevianArt, which I then uploaded to my ePortfolio.
While selecting this gif, I realized that the creator did not have any licensing information and/or sharing limitations for users. In doing so, I will begin crediting and linking the creator’s information of this magnificent image:

The animated picture that I decided to use which is seen above, was found on DevianArt.
The image above is titled

this not like the other animated gif that you see to your left, this is a Live Photo. One that I believe to have been taken on either an iPhone and/or Samsung. In determining this information, I downloaded this image onto my MacBook under documents, which I then noticed the file extension ( .JPG ) .
While selecting this animated photo, I realized that this creator also did not have any licensing information and/or sharing limitations for users. In doing so, I will begin crediting and linking the creator’s information of this magnificent image:

Here is a display of a video sample.
This digital video is all about how a married woman felt the burden of her husband’s choices within their marriage. She wanted clarity on how she could release the guilt that she had been facing. Kittie who is the speaker responses back by offering this woman wisdom that even made me pause and reflect on the goodness of GOD's mercy. And I am not even in this woman shoes, but I can only image what she is going through. Kittie continues to speak life into this woman by reminding her that GOD will always be there in her time of need as long as she seeks his guidance. Kittie also explains how GOD reveals moments of despair not to break us, but so that ntot only her but others who continue to feel discourage can begin their healing journey
How I was able to share this magnificent video was by downloading it to my MacBook within the documents file, copy and paste video onto my ePortfolio. This video did not highlight any usage policy and/ or licensing information.

LESSONS LEARNED
In this unit called Digital Media Exploration, I have gained an extensive amount of knowledge throughout this chapter. I have learned the value of acknowledging the different types of media such as amination. Like I never knew anything about a loop-able gif or the different types of animation. Secondly, I learned about the various forms of Creative Commons such as CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 which allows users to distribute, copy, and share but excludes commercial use all while crediting the creator. Lastly, I have learned that not every site that is visited has the information needed in plain sight.
