The alignment, appropriateness, and safety of the physical/material components of the program of study, including laboratories, classrooms, computers, industry-specific equipment, and tools and supplies that support learning.
This greenhouse redesign plan for my student teaching site demonstrates my ability to effectively manage program resources while adhering to safety and health regulations. The plan enhances the workspace by creating a safer and more spacious environment for students, offering improved access and ample walking space. It also increases the capacity for students to grow more plants, providing a hands-on opportunity to apply knowledge gained in the classroom to real-life scenarios. Additionally, this redesign supports and aligns with the learning objectives and curriculum standards for the Plant Science and Nursery/Landscape Design classes. The redesigned space also offers the FFA chapter the chance to fundraise by selling the plants that students nurture and care for throughout the year.
This lab safety plan that I will design in ALEC 308, demonstrates my ability to effectively manage program resources while ensuring a safe and compliant learning environment. The plan outlines the necessary safety precautions within the laboratory, equipping students with the essential safety knowledge to work responsibly. It ensures that all lab resources meet relevant safety and health regulations. Additionally, the plan includes detailed protocols for resource management, including processes for maintaining, updating, and replacing equipment. This approach guarantees safety for all participants and ensures students have access to the appropriate resources to facilitate effective learning.
