During this time a KSU Orientation Booth will be set up in the quad to help you sign in, pay (if you're paying cash) and give you your Orientation Week pack (including merch, your Orientation handbook, campus resources, and some goodies).

Quad, Library StepsCome and enjoy live music from prominent Haligonian musician Matthew Joel, also known as our very own Dr Matthew Vanderkwaak. Hot chocolate will be provided by our wonderful Galley.
Bedding, including sheets, blankets, pillows (Twin XL size is suggested for all residents)
Towels, shower shoes, toiletries and a shower caddy
Clothing, sleepwear, laundry supplies, hangers and seasonal rain/winter gear
Laptop or study supplies, phone charger, headphones/earbuds and any needed school materials
Government-issued photo ID, health card, insurance information and important university or financial documents
Basic dishes, cutlery, mug/cup, dish soap, food storage containers and snacks
Cleaning supplies for your room, tissues, basic first aid items and any medications
Small fan, personal water bottle and reusable shopping bags
Personal decorations, using removable sticky tack only
The KSU also recommends: a mattress topper, ice cube trays, throw pillows, an assortment of shoes, drawer dividers, small musical instruments (like a guitar, not a DJ kit), stuffed animals, and art supplies.
Open-element appliances, including hot plates, grills/panini presses, toasters and toaster ovens
Microwaves, air fryers or unapproved small appliances
Candles or any product with open flames or strongly scented products
Extra furniture, including armchairs, couches, loveseats, desks, mattresses, mini-fridges or bed frames
Unapproved pets or ESA’s
Weapons, replica weapons, toy weapons, ammunition or dangerous goods
Brewery, distilling, wine-making equipment, kegs, funnels or similar alcohol-related devices
Subwoofers or large sound systems
Decorations that require nails, screws, heavy-duty tape or other damaging adhesives
Items that could block hallways, stairwells, exits, fire escapes or common spaces
