The K1-K2 (top image below) had the pin-striping above and below the tank badge with the bottom band having a squared off ending with no gap between the colours.
The K3 & L1-Ex (middle image) had the graphics through the centre of the tank side with the badge placed on top.
The K4-K9 (bottom image) had pin-striping above and below the badge like the first of the K series but, there is a gap between the stripe colours and the bottom lines end in a point. (The K10 had no decals).
Kawasaki paint codes were either non-existent or were pretty sketchy in the early days. However, the micro-fiches for the KH125 do have paint codes on the identification page and/or on the parts pages that have colour options e.g side panels, tank and seat cowling. These are listed here. WARNING: these codes are not definitive and are not guaranteed to be accurate, use as a possible guide. The best way to get a colour match is to take anything off the bike with the original colour and get it matched by a specialist (make sure what you use from the bike is the right colour - check the model pages for pictures etc).
