Kawasaki's first 'A' series KH125 was a fun little beast with a cracking little two-stroke rotary valve engine. The styling was quintessentially late '70's and looked great with a nice paint job and plenty of chrome. The initial A series officially reached the UK in 1977 though had already been launched in countries such as Japan and Australia.
The brochure notes that the KH125 was the KE125 in 'street gear'. The KE had proved a popular bike with an off-road look and Kawasaki was clearly hoping that their long planned street bike would prove equally popular. "... turn on the ignition and the punchy rotary disc valve engine lights up with a lively roar. Rev it gently to warm up a little and snick it into first. Let out the clutch smoothly and away you go. Nothing to it!".
