Parietal Bone-Two bones that form the greater portion of the sides and roof of the cranial cavity.
Occipital Bone-Bones that form the posterior and most of the base of the cranium.
Temporal Bone-Two bones that form the inferior lateral aspects of the cranium and part of the cranial floor.
Sutural Bone-Small bones located in sutures.
Sutures-Fibrous joint composed of a thin layer of dense fibrous connective tissue. Sutures are only between the bones of the skull.
Synarthrosis-A immovable joint.
