BOREDOM was my first solo exhibition. It presented a year-long study of boredom as a catalyst for artistic expression and experimentation. The project investigated my artistic identity while challenging conventional standards in art and art education that can limit creativity. The exhibition grew from six months of foundational research and early experimental work, with a central focus on process rather than finished products. Inspired by progressive movements like Dadaism, I embraced absurdity and spontaneity to cultivate genuine originality. I designed and installed the full exhibition and developed a small-scale marketing campaign to promote the opening. The sections below highlight the six major aspects of the BOREDOM study.

The Boredom Paintings is a seven-piece abstract series created as a playground for experimentation, focusing on process and continual evolution rather than a final image.
The Orchestra (2025) is a 15-print silkscreen installation that layers abstracted orchestral imagery through experimental “call and response” printing and transparent inks to form a unified, large-scale composition.
BEHIND A WINDOW (2024) is a 30” × 22” silkscreen print created through a spontaneous, experimental process using found materials, later featured as the headline work of my BOREDOM exhibition and on the cover of UMass Amherst’s Jabberwocky Journal.
BORED (2025) is a satirical mixed-media self-portrait that reflects on my year-long study of boredom, weaving together personal memorabilia and fragments from the project.
