The Sun Life Financial Junior Challenge is an annual Junior Curling Cash bonspiel held every November in Brandon, MB.
This event is a key experience for state/province and national competitors and champions. Every year new athletes are discovered and young veterans build skills with their teammates while competing at the Sun Life Financial Junior Challenge. Past participants include Braden Calvert's World Championship team; along with national champions Matt Dunstone (Canada), Jocelyn Peterman (Canada), Jake Vuhich (USA), and Cory Christensen (USA).
It is the goal of the Sun Life Financial Junior Challenge to provide an optimum level of competition, while at the same time ensuring growth and sportsmanship from every athlete.
All Sun Life Financial Junior Challenge games are played at the Brandon Curling Club, located in the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada.
The facility includes an 8-sheet rink, upper and lower level viewing lounges with a combined capacity of over 300 spectators. The lower level viewing lounge includes food and beverage services at the Keystone Cafe.
