Project Description

This project will explain how different communities use and access technology. We are in a world where we have different countries and different practices, we will compare between Kenya and Sweden technology usage, culture and digital divide. I paired up with my classmate and we were able to research on various aspects of technology in Kenya and Sweden. Countries are using technology to enhance banking services, health, agriculture, and government services.

Interesting Facts

• Kenya is a very big country with a population of 56.43 million while Sweden has 10.6 million people.

• I was surprised on how farmers in Kenya are using technology to help them in crop pest surveillance.

Lessons learned

Not everyone in the world can access technology and we still have people who are not conversant with technology devices. I have also learnt that Sweden speak Swedish as their official language, I used to think it's English. I learned how to make presentation look more interesting rather than having to much wordings per slide. I was happy on how we were able to work with my classmate Cameron Couts, very efficient and fast to review the power point presentation on time. At first, I was wondering how I will find a partner for the group work, but after posting it and getting a response, things just followed. Technology has really made things easy, we have never met nor do we know each other but had the group presentation done.
